Because Education Matters
Scholarship Program
For over a decade AEF has been providing scholarships to students in Armenia, Artsakh, and Javakhk. Each year, the number of scholarship recipients grows as more sponsors join in our shared vision. Since the scholarship program’s inception in 2007, the number of recipients has increased from 21 to over 900 students.
Scholarships are awarded based on current employment demographics and trends. For example, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), agriculture and related fields are especially targeted. The tuition fee is transferred directly to the university on behalf of the student.
AEF requires scholarship recipients to complete 120 hours of community service each year. They tutor underprivileged students, volunteer at orphanages and senior centers, organize blood drives, and mentor new scholarship recipients to achieve success. AEF continues to support these students in finding employment opportunities. We organize and finance seminars and workshops, including English and IT training. We are proud that 77% of our students are currently employed and an additional 9% are in graduate programs.
